Materials that will be used in construction are tested in a materials laboratory.
Consult with government officials to ensure that the proposed construction meets minimum requirements.
Supervise projects to ensure that they are carried out according to plan.
Budgets for proposed projects should be prepared (s)
Inform civil engineers about the status of a project.
Examine a project site to ensure that it is large enough to accommodate the project.
Making certain that the best materials are purchased at the best prices
Creating timelines for the supply of materials, human resources, and other resources required for a project
Working with the supervising civil engineer(s) to consider and determine the extent to which the plan(s) can be deviated from

Requirements

Technical school diploma in engineering/civil construction is required.
Experience as a drafter may be useful as a supplement to or an alternative to a technical school qualification.
Ability to work efficiently under duress.
Problem -solving abilities.
Ability to adhere to minimum safety standards.
To correctly design and replicate their project, they must have a strong understanding of mathematics as well as sciences such as calculus, geometry, and chemistry.
Excellent listening skills
Problem -solving ability
Ability to effectively communicate orally, in writing, and through electronic means.
Capability to read and comprehend written instructions, which may take the form of a graphic plan of a proposed utility project, such as a profile, mathematical calculations, or words.
Capability to write a detailed but concise report
