Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Work directly with and take direction from experienced Journeypersons to develop your trade skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist in laying out, assembling, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial piping systems and equipment.

  
  


• 
  

  Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipes utilizing standard hand/power tools and specialized equipment.

  
  


• 
  

  Secure, move, and organize pipe sections, valves, fittings, and related rigging equipment safely.

  
  


• 
  

  Support piping installations, plant modifications, and maintenance turnarounds.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly adhere to plant-specific safety regulations, Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), and hazard controls.

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Registered Apprentice Steamfitter-Pipefitter with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT).

  
  


• 
  

  Basic knowledge of pipefitting tools, materials, and industrial plant processes, with a strong willingness to learn and take constructive direction.

  
  


• 
  

  Valid safety certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start): CSO, H2S Alive, First Aid, and CSTS-2020.

  
  


• 
  

  Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract.

  
  


• 
  

  Capability to handle the physical demands of industrial piping work and adapt to dynamic plant environments.
