Apprentice Technician

Toromont Cat is seeking an Apprentice technician to join our team in Timmins. Our Registered Apprentice Technicians, when not in school, will continue to learn on the job with our experienced, trusted Technicians gradually progressing to achieve a Licensed Technician opportunity.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives


• Repair Caterpillar and other brands of equipment for our customers in a timely and economical manner


• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems using Caterpillar testing equipment


• Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner


• Ensure our internal and external customer needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner in a positive, engaging environment of teamwork, career development and lifelong learning for opportunities across our business.

Must-haves for this role:

• Minimum high school diploma


• Currently enrolled, or completion of a Post-Secondary Heavy Equipment Technician program
