THE 2102 Ensemble II - The practice of acting in a specific aesthetic context.

THEME: Based on the pedagogical methods of Jacques Lecoq this course is an approach to physical theatre and character creation. The exploration is primarily physical in identifying the student’s natural instincts for “Jeu” (play). There is a focus on freedom through improvisation and accessing a natural pleasure to play and invent.

DELIVERY MODE: In person

Intensive course on two weeks. August 24 to September 4, 2026.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Course Schedule:

- - - Intensive course on two weeks. August 24 to September 4, 2026. Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00, Fridays 8:30 to 11:30 and 13:00 to 16:00

Requirements:

1. Five years of experience teaching acting at the post-secondary level and/or five years of recent and significant professional acting or directing experience related to the course theme. 2. Knowledge of contemporary national and international theatre trends.

Based on Basic Rate for a 3-credit course ($9 956). The 3 credits for the course apply to both postings.
