aQuatonomous - Electrical Lead

Ahoy! Do you want to get electric with aQuatonomous in the 2025-2026 academic year? Do you want to lead a team of like-minded awesome individuals to design, implement, and support aQuatonomous’ electrical system?

⚡We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong communication skills, work ethic, organization, and time management skills.
• Is ready to take on a leadership role and learn alongside the electrical sub-team.
• Enjoys collaboratively tackling complex problems and is a patient debugger.
• Has an interest in outdoor robotics and autonomous vehicles.
• Has apassion for electronics within robotics.

🔋As the electrical lead, you will be responsible for:

• Work with the many other sub-teams of aQuatonomous to support and implement the many functionalities of the ASV.
• Host 1-2 weekly meetings with the electrical sub-team to discuss and work on tasks.
• Work with the electrical team to use stock and create custom components (such as PCBs) to implement the electrical system
• Design, implement, and support power distribution to all actuators, sensors, E-Stop systems, processors, and data connections based on telemetry needs.
• Test systems to ensure that they are effective.
• Keep safety paramount through all stages of the design process.
