Expression of Interest: School Counselor Opportunities

Anglophone East School District (ASD-E) is inviting applications from certified teachers who hold a New Brunswick School Counselor Certificate or who are eligible to obtain School Counselor Certification, to join our pool of qualified School Counselor candidates. This pool will be used to fill current and anticipated School Counselor vacancies throughout the district. 

The Opportunity

Successful applicants may be considered for short term or long-term School Counselor assignments within ASD-E schools.

Union: New Brunswick Teachers’ Federation (NBTF)

Hours of Work: As defined by Article 18 of the NBTF Collective Agreement

Salary: In accordance with the NBTF Collective Agreement

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• Hold a valid New Brunswick Teaching Certificate and a New Brunswick School Counselor Certificate; or

• Hold a valid teaching certificate and possess a completed master’s degree that meets the requirements for School Counselor certifications as outlined by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development:  new-brunswick-school-counsellor-certification.pdf

• New Brunswick Teaching Certificate, or a valid teaching certificate from a Canadian province or territory
