Job Summary:  
RTDS Technologies Inc. are seeking to fill an Assembly Technician position who will participate in the assembly of the RTDS digital real-time power system simulator. This role requires hands-on experience with electrical component assembly, the ability to work collaboratively and efficiently within a team, and a commitment to meeting our high-quality standards.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Under the direction of the Production Manager, assemble RTDS cubicles, enclosures and other housings.

  • Advise Production Manager of assembly problems, including but not limited to

    • Poor quality or improper components

    • Assemblies that are difficult to complete

    • Unsafe wiring arrangements



  • Participate in cubicle, enclosure or housing related support issues.

  • Be familiar with the setup and installation of RTDS main and I/O boards.

  • Participate in the production aspects of new product cubicles, enclosures and housings.

  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications:



  • C.E.T Certification, or equivalent certification/experience (Mechanical, Electronic, Computer Engineering Technology)

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field

  • Hands on work experience with electrical component assembly & board testing

  • Willingness and ability to work collaboratively in a team

  • Experience with soldering, testing, maintenance, & repair of electrical/electronic hardware, peripherals and software

  • Experience with circuit boards
