This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the Hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.

Your Role:

The CBC/Radio-Canada Media Solutions group is seeking an Assignment Coordinator (Group 14) to support our Content Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently scheduling production staff while ensuring full compliance with collective agreements and internal policies.

As the key liaison between our creative and technical teams, you will coordinate information across departments to establish weekly assignments and keep projects on track. You will provide critical support and bring creative problem-solving to the table to maintain smooth, continuous operations within a dynamic and respectful work environment.

Your Responsibilities:

Talent and Resource Coordination

  • Plan and communicate weekly schedules for creative and technical teams.

  • Contact agents and talent to book voice-over recordings and shoots.

  • Coordinate the preparation and execution of talent contracts.

  • Provide administrative assistance to producers as needed.

  • Keep project managers updated on the progress of their projects.

Production Logistics

  • Schedule and book audio studios and editing suites.

  • Prepare editing sessions by ensuring all video and audio assets meet required technical specifications.

  • Coordinate post-production stages (including Interplay ingestion, encoding, and archiving) alongside the editing team.

  • Book and manage media cards from the video library.

  • Ensure final project deliveries meet deadlines across various broadcast platforms.

Administrative Support

  • Provide dedicated administrative support to the Production Director (managing calendars, deadlines, parking, building access and guest registration).

  • Process, code and track invoices and expense reports.

  • Manage music licensing rights (APM) and source production assets, such as stock footage and images.

  • Assign budget codes to new projects and handle ongoing follow ups with Finance.

  • Coordinate travel for shoots (booking hotels and vehicles, distributing per diems to freelancers, etc.).

What You Bring:

Qualifications:

  • College diploma (DEC) or equivalent.

  • Five or more years’ experience in production co-ordination or logistics roles.

Skills:

  • Outstanding organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Tact, diplomacy and the ability to navigate a unionized environment effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Excellent proficiency in French with a professional working knowledge of English.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and production management systems (such as Avid Interplay).

  • Familiarity with the overall media production process.

  • Excellent judgment, strong initiative and the ability to work independently.

  • Meticulous attention to detail in administrative follow ups and a strict commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
