We invite online letters to express interest from our sworn members (First Class Constable), for a Constable position with the Court Section. The schedule will consist of four 10-hour day shifts a week, no weekends.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide court security at all court facilities.


• Assist Court Sergeant with selection of suitable trial dates for officers.


• Mentorship with the Court Sergeant to develop the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the Court Sergeant.


• Assist with Acting Sergeant duties when required.


• Assist with co-ordinating prisoner attendance.


• Assist with transporting and escorting prisoners as required.


• Assist with arrests and apprehensions at the court facilities as required.


• Investigate and lay charges relating to offences being committed at the court facilities.


• Take possession of seized items as required which could include drugs, weapons and other contraband.


• Report directly to the Court Sergeant.


• Perform such other duties as are lawfully assigned.
