About the Role
Support seasonal staff and assist in managing pro shop, back shop, practice range, and golf cart operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions.
Provide exceptional service to members and guests, enhance customer experience, and maintain strong member relationships through regular interactions and playing rounds.
Facilitate pro shop sales, assist customers with purchases and equipment fitting, and manage inventory, including receiving, checking, and verifying stock.
Ensure cleanliness and proper working conditions of the pro shop and related facilities, oversee maintenance of golf carts, and coordinate with maintenance technicians for repairs and servicing.
Support the planning and execution of promotions, tournaments, and other golf course events to boost participation and member satisfaction.
Assist in maintaining a robust teaching program, provide tips during practice sessions, and contribute to the overall skill development of members.
Help with purchasing, tracking, and documenting inventory, as well as conducting consistent verification and year-end financial activities for the golf shop.
Conduct tours for potential residents and members, providing information and promoting the benefits of the RiverBend Golf Community.
Maintain accurate service records for fleet and resident carts, shuttles, and other equipment, ensuring proper documentation of maintenance and operations.
Assist in the development and implementation of promotions to encourage and promote golf course play, and be available and to assist with all tournaments.
Experience
Membership in the Canadian PGA
Strong customer service background
Experience in pro shop organization and management
Knowledge of back shop services, golf cart maintenance and driving range operations
Knowledge of the rules of golf and equipment
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Must be available to be on-site six days a week at a minimum of 40 hours (expected 50 hours + in season)
