Role Purpose


The role purpose of the Assistant Manager, Technical Services is to coordinate and manage engineering activities, projects, and vendor deliverables to support fleet reliability, operational performance, and engineering compliance. The role focuses on project execution, task coordination, vendor management, and engagement with internal stakeholders up to middle management level.


Key Accountability



  • Coordinate daily technical services activities and engineering support for assigned fleet and systems.

  • Manage engineering projects, improvement initiatives, and technical action plans within agreed timelines and objectives.

  • Monitor fleet performance trends, operational disruptions, and defect status to ensure timely resolution.

  • Coordinate with vendors, OEM representatives, and service providers to ensure effective support delivery.

  • Support implementation of engineering programmes, modifications, reliability initiatives, and maintenance improvements.

  • Guide junior team members on day-to-day tasks execution, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and ensuring the quality of their work meets expected standards.

  • Engage and coordinate with internal stakeholders including Maintenance Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Safety, and Quality functions.

  • Review engineering data, technical reports, and findings to support management decision-making.

  • Ensure technical documentation and engineering activities comply with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Support audit activities, investigations, and corrective action implementation.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reliability performance.

  • Provide guidance and technical coordination support to engineers and executives within the team.

  • Deputise for the Manager when required.


 Qualification



  • Degree in Engineering from a recognised university

  • Minimum 6–8 years of relevant aviation engineering or technical services experience

  • Balancing operational demands with engineering compliance requirements

  • Driving timely issue resolution across multiple stakeholders
