The Assistant Product Manager will have a thorough understanding of the in-market product portfolio of all Bradford White Canada brands. (Water heaters, LAARS, Niles, Keltech, Electro Industries, HeatFlo, and any and all future acquisitions). Ensure that technical specifications and application requirements meet Canadian codes and standards. Assist sales and customer service in recommending solutions.
The Assistant Product Manager is also responsible for assisting in overseeing the development and launch of upcoming products from initial concepts to final release. This involves working closely with warehouse team, pricing, customer service, training, and sales, to ensure availability and efficiency.
The Assistant Product Manager will also represent the vacant link between the Canadian office and manufacturing plants and work closely to come up with strategies on stock, service, warranty and any other related issues and approach for a smooth operation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working with customers and or/sales and to be proactive in preparation for any shift in the industry in terms of code and regulation.
Setting up new product codes that are relevant to Canada.
Assist with identifying products/service parts that are applicable to the Canadian market.
Review Product specification and performance to provide accurate support
Provide internal and external sales support with regards to product cross referencing, sizing, etc.
Communicate and facilitate solutions when discontinued product or recalls commence.
Assigning/organizing product codes that affect commissioning/sales when new products are proposed.
Help deliver product training both in-house and at partner locations.
Assist in conducting product market research by visiting reps, wholesalers, and customers and prospective customers as needed.
Understand national, local, and safety codes related to the water heaters and their installations. Assist Marketing in preparing training material for internal and external customers.
Communicate with internal and external marketing resources regarding the development and maintenance of product advertising material (web, print, etc.)
Use customer feedback and reviews to identify product improvements and new opportunities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available products to best serve customers and maximize sales potential.
Assist marketing, sales and CSR’s by providing technical support to determine needs, solutions, and overcame objections.
Perform effectively in self-directed work environment, managing day-to-day operations and decisions.
Attend trade shows and associations meetings as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, or Postsecondary education
Proven knowledge in one or more areas of BWCC products/applications
Work towards being technically
Ability to effectively engage sales, customer service and customer personnel to obtain/ exchange applications critical data and information.
Limited visits to industrial areas that may involve exposure to heat, noise, and large industrial
Limited travel 20%
Physical effort to perform the job
Able to lift 23Kg (50lbs)
Compensation Range
$54,500–$62,500 annually
