Job Description - Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Role: Assistant Project Manager

Client: Leading Main Contractor

Projects: Commercial

Essentials: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar ; Proven track record delivering large-scale commercial or industrial projects ; Strong commercial, programme and stakeholder management skills.

Location: West Dublin

Salary: €80,000 - €90,000

Package: Company car, pension, learning & development and more.

Reporting into: Contracts Manager

Support the planning and delivery of projects from pre-start through to completion and handover.

Coordinate key areas including programme, design management, procurement, technical submissions, construction operations, logistics, BIM, quality and M&E.

Monitor and update project programmes, identify risks and delays, and implement mitigation measures to keep projects on track.

Manage and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers, while maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholders.

Oversee Health & Safety, quality assurance, BC(A)R, environmental requirements and project compliance throughout the construction process.

Chair site and QA meetings, monitor project performance and provide regular updates on programme, quality, H&S, progress and commercial matters.

Support the Design Manager and QS with design coordination, procurement, scopes of work and technical requirements.

Assist with pre-construction activities, tender submissions, construction methodologies and project planning.

Lead and develop members of the project team, supporting performance, training and professional development.
