As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be part of the JAK's leadership team. You will help plan, organize and direct the retail operations of your store in collaboration with the General Manager. You will participate in scheduling, hiring, coaching, performance management, coordinating shift activities, fostering positive relationships among the team and mediating in situations where a customer has a request or complaint.

Will be a proven leader with a passion for the craft beer, wine and spirits industry
Has experience in coaching, training, managing and scheduling
Possesses a positive attitude and has the ability to energize a team
Is an effective communicator with the ability to share knowledge with our team and our guests
Is the ultimate team player
Has the ability to create a ‘wow’ experience for our guests and coaches others to do the same
Embodies the JAK’S values of Caring, Learning, Integrity, Hospitality.
Wine Knowledge of WSET 2 or WSET 3 is considered an asset*
Facilitate a fun work environment by bringing a fun energy to work to energize the team and inspire others to do the same.
Assist in leading and managing a team of customer service/sales specialists
Develop successful people by providing training, mentoring and coaching to the team.
Ensure all JAK'S standards are met and exceeded to deliver an outstanding retail experience.
Participate in the hiring process by collaborating with the store manager and/or the Director of People & Culture on new hires
Communicate and achieve budgeted key performance indicators within the team for your store
Create and implement customer-focused business strategies
