Associate Director, Actuarial

In short: part analyst, part strategist, part global collaborator with plenty of variety to keep things interesting.

What You'll Do:

• Price YRT, Coinsurance, Longevity, and Financial Reinsurance deals


• Modernize and enhance valuation systems


• Develop and refine experience studies and best practices


• Strengthen mortality assumptions and projection models 


• Support in-force analysis and existing client needs


• Provide technical expertise across traditional and structured reinsurance


• Partner with insurers and reinsurers on pricing and quotations


• Mentor actuarial students and support exam progression
  

What You'll Bring:

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, or related field


• FSA (or career ASA); MAAA is an asset


• 3+ years in life insurance/reinsurance with strong product and pricing experience


• GGY Axis (2+ years)


• Advanced Excel/Access; familiarity with R, Python, SQL, or similar tools


• Knowledge of US/Canadian (IFRS) reporting and reinsurance frameworks (asset)


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills


• Able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders


• Working knowledge of experience studies, valuation, and reinsurance structures (asset)


• Longevity transaction structuring (asset)


• US and/or Canadian market experience (asset)
