We’re a privately owned Toronto-based team of 40, led by a small group of industry veterans. Recognized on the Globe & Mail’s list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies, we’re in an exciting growth stage and hiring key people to help us get there.



Our HQ is steps from Union Station in Toronto, with another office near Parliament Hill in Ottawa. We work in a hybrid model, with in-person time typically limited to onboarding and training, team collaboration, and client meetings.

About the Role


As Associate Director, Paid Search, you will own the performance, health, and growth of paid search programs across a portfolio of clients.



This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership role. You will set search strategy, protect performance, guide investment decisions, and develop Senior Associates and Associates into confident, autonomous operators.



You are accountable for results. When performance is strong, you scale it. When it is off track, you step in early with a clear plan.



This is a new position created to support continued agency growth.



What You’ll Own


Search performance and business impact



  • Own performance across assigned paid search accounts, with full accountability for results




  • Set clear optimization priorities aligned to business goals such as revenue, pipeline, efficiency, or growth




  • Oversee budgets and pacing to ensure disciplined investment and no preventable over or underspend




  • Identify risks early and implement corrective action before escalation is required




  • Provide confident, data-backed recommendations to Client Service and senior stakeholders



Strategy and delivery excellence



  • Translate client business objectives into clear search strategies and execution direction




  • Guide account structure, bidding strategy, testing frameworks, and measurement approach




  • Partner with Media Strategy, Client Service, Creative, and Performance teams to ensure integrated execution




  • Elevate quality standards so issues are caught internally, not by clients




  • Identify opportunities to expand scope, improve efficiency, or unlock incremental growth



Team enablement and standards



  • Coach and develop Senior Associates and Associates on performance judgement and optimization strategy




  • Create clarity around priorities, success metrics, and decision-making frameworks




  • Reinforce strong documentation, communication, and operational discipline




  • Model and encourage responsible AI usage to improve efficiency and quality of output



What You Bring


Requirements



  • Strong hands-on expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads across complex, performance-driven accounts




  • Demonstrated ownership of performance outcomes, not just execution




  • Experience setting channel strategy tied to measurable business objectives such as CPL, CAC, ROAS, or revenue growth




  • Ability to manage budgets responsibly and make confident investment trade-offs




  • Proven experience mentoring or developing more junior team members




  • Clear, direct communicator who can translate performance data into business impact




  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced agency environment with multiple stakeholders



Nice to Have



  • Experience managing seven-figure annual media budgets




  • Exposure to multi-channel planning or integrated performance strategies




  • Experience working with advanced measurement frameworks, offline conversion tracking, or incrementality testing




  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and AI-driven optimization tools



We do not require Canadian experience. We care about capability, judgement, and impact.




Compensation Transparency


Salary range: $85,000–$102,000 CAD


Compensation is based on experience and skill set. This role is also eligible for performance-based bonus consideration and a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health, dental, mental health coverage, and a health spending allowance.
