Job Description - Associate, Medical Sciences Advisory - Oncology
In this role, you will work as part of SALTI’s Medical Sciences Advisory practice, focusing on oncology. You’ll provide scientific and strategic expertise to pharmaceutical clients, helping them address commercial and medical challenges related to oncology product launches and lifecycle management.
Who You'll Work With
You will collaborate closely with senior consultants, oncology experts, and client teams across commercial functions. Your role will include working with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that support product launches and enhance engagement with healthcare providers (HCPs) and key stakeholders in oncology care.
Your Role at SALTI
As an Associate in the Oncology-focused Medical Sciences Advisory practice, you will be responsible for delivering strategic advisory services to leading biopharmaceutical companies. You’ll contribute to projects that optimize product positioning, ensure scientific accuracy in communications, and strengthen market access strategies for oncology therapies.
Responsibilities:
Oncology Insights & Strategy Development: Provide in-depth medical insights in oncology to help clients develop evidence-based strategies that support product launches and long-term success.
Epidemiological Data Interpretation: Analyze the epidemiological landscape, including disease prevalence, incidence, and treatment outcomes, to guide client decision-making.
Literature Review: Conduct detailed reviews of clinical literature to assess current research, treatment guidelines, and emerging therapeutic approaches, ensuring recommendations are grounded in the most up-to-date science.
Client Engagement: Collaborate with client teams to present findings and co-develop solutions that align medical insights with strategic business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other functional teams from both our clients and internal teams to ensure medical insights inform and enhance broader market access, pricing, and product positioning strategies.
Scientific Rigor: Ensure that all recommendations uphold the highest standards of scientific accuracy and are compliant with medical and regulatory guidelines.
Thought Leadership: Stay current on oncology advancements and share insights that help clients innovate and optimize their market positioning.

What We Look For
Educational Background: Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or similar) in a life sciences or medical discipline with an oncology focus. Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience in medical affairs, medical science liaison (MSL), or a similar field.
Scientific Rigor: Strong ability to conduct literature reviews, analyze epidemiological data, and interpret clinical outcomes to provide evidence-based insights.
Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex scientific concepts and clinical data to diverse stakeholders, including non-medical audiences.
Collaborative Mindset: Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, particularly in oncology and life sciences sectors.
Adaptability: Ability to excel in dynamic environments with evolving project requirements and scientific developments.
