Job Description - Associate R&D Manager

About the role: Our Associate R&D Manager will lead a team of R&D Engineers who will be involved in all aspects of the design and development process within our Electrophysiology division. This role drives innovation to enhance sustainability, cost-efficiency, and product protection while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align strategies with business objectives. This individual will have the opportunity to work in a high-paced, cross-functional, and collaborative environment. Your responsibilities will include: Partnering with key stakeholders to understand priorities, outline assignments/schedules, and identify timelines to meet completion dates and R&D milestones. Develop direct reports and continue to evolve team structure and skillsets by recruiting, coaching and training high-performing staff. Monitor daily work operations and provide direction and guidance (technical and professional) to staff to achieve project goals. Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organization objectives. Interact with all customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and providing project updates. Actively engage as part of the R&D Leadership team on Franchise initiatives and be a voice for the Labeling team. Engage in cross-functional, cross-site, and cross-team strategic discussions on how to drive results and efficiently execute activities. Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.). Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (i.e., biomedical, mechanical, electrical, etc.) 6+ years of relevant work experience relating to product development Experience in people management and technical leadership Detailed understanding of design control process per ISO 13485 and 14971 Ability to lead through change and adapt in a fast-paced environment Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's and/or master's in mechanical, or biomedical Engineering Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain relationships Desire to grow and expand responsibilities as a functional manager Learn more about our Transseptal Access Devices Click this link to explore the groundbreaking technology behind our transseptal access devices at Boston Scientific: Transseptal access devices Requisition ID: 604000 Minimum Salary: $79700 Maximum Salary: $158200 The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com\--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above. Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
