Honorarium Position

Overview

The ASUS Peer Tutoring (APT) Director manages the administrative and promotional aspects of the APT platform, ensuring its accessibility and efficiency for Arts & Science students. This role includes verifying tutor qualifications, overseeing tutor and tutee approvals, and maintaining the platform's content. The Director will also collaborate on outreach initiatives, develop new program components, and work to enhance student engagement. Strong organizational and communication skills are key to ensuring the program runs smoothly.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

Term: May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026

Hours: 4-6 hours per week

Honorarium: Awarded based on the Honorarium Grid in the Human Resources Policy (Click here)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Approve tutors and tutees while managing tutoring requests and bursary approvals with the Services Commissioner.
• Maintain and update the APT platform using WordPress and ensure tutoring logs are properly filed.
• Promote the service through marketing strategies and outreach efforts.
• Develop a High School Peer Tutoring program for Kingston-area students.
• Hold 2 office hours per week and attend weekly meetings to coordinate program initiatives.
