Audio/Visual Coordinator

This coordinator will be responsible for:

• working with other members of the Conference Planning Team to asses/understand the techincal requirements of each conference event


• plan the implementation of the required equipment for each event (answering questions such as: where will the equipment come from? who will be setting it up? will it require an operator?, etc.)


• in some cases he/she will setup and operate audio/visual equipment (including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, etc.)


• working with our host hotel to establish their technical capibilities and aligning them with our requirements on a per event basis


• liasoning with UWaterloo IST and other 3rd party vendors as needed

The ideal canidate for this position is someone who:

• has experience as an audio/visual technician


• is a fast problem solver and is able to think on their feet and make use of the resources available to them


• is commited to providing the very best audio/visual experience to our attendees


• has a strong work ethic, but is fun to work with and maintains a sense of humour!
