Automotive Mechanic

• Confirm
  findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  
• Discuss

  and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  
• Inspect

  motor in operation
  
• Review
  work orders
  
• Road
  test motor vehicles
  
• Test
  automotive systems and components
  
• Adjust,
  repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  
• Repair
  or replace mechanical units or components
  
• Test
  and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  
• Estimate
  parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  
• Perform
  scheduled maintenance service
  
• Test
  and adjust units to specifications
  
• Advise
  customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  
• Complete
  reports to record problems and work performed
  

Requirements

• No
  degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  
• Must have a minimum of 3 years to less
  than 5 years of experience.
  
• Must be willing to work at the
  physical location.
  
• Must be able to communicate in
  English.
  
• Must have Automotive Service
  Technician Trade Certification.
  
• Must be willing to undergo a
  criminal record check.
  
• Must have a valid Driver’s license,
  preferably with own transportation.
  
• Must have own tools and steel-toed
  safety boots.
  
• Must be able to work in a
  fast-paced environment, have good hand-eye coordination, strong attention to
  detail and manual dexterity, and be able to stand for extended periods.
  
• Must be accurate, client-focused,
  dependable, flexible, reliable, a team player, and have excellent oral and
  written communication skills.
