AZ Driver (Company Driver, Perm, FT, Local)

Minimum of 2 years (AZ) driving experience.

Clean CVOR.

Clean Abstract.

Comfortable at reversing tractor (with a 53' Trailer).

Comfortable operating both Automatic & Manual (i.e., all gears).

Comfortable at hand-bombing.

Able to work Monday – Sunday. Must be available to work weekends. 

Ability to work early mornings (dispatch between 1:00am to 4:00am start times)

Familiar with the use of electronic logs.

Retail grocery delivery experience.

AZ Driver (Company Driver, Perm, FT, Local)

Term:  Permanent, Full-Time

Replacement or New:  Replacement

Work Mode:  On-site

Reports to:  Shipping Supervisor

Direct Reports:  0

Pay:  $30.04ph (after 90 days-probation period, will raise to $31.04ph)

Dispatch Time:  Mon-Fri, between 1am-4am

Weekends:  Must be available

Location:   860 Trillium Drive, Kitchener, ON N2R 1K4

Trucks:  Automatic

Routes: 

• Strathroy, GTA, Napanee, Lyn, etc.


• 12-14 hr Routes (mostly farm pick up, stores deliveries and varies delivery and pick ups routes).


• Drivers may work up to 10 consecutive hours off-duty per day.

Territory:   Local.  Strathroy, GTA, Napanee, Lyn, etc

Overtime:  > 44 hours 

Unionized:  No

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily pre & post trips of vehicle.

• Pick up, deliver and load/unload product.

• Use of pallet jack to load/unload.

• Use of electronic logs


• Document all required information accurately and legibly, using driver logbook, trip reports, accident/incident reports and maintenance of temperature on reefers.


• Be punctual for scheduled appointments and dock times.

Requirements:

• Clean CVOR & Abstract (minimum of 2 years clean driving record - AZ)

• Strong interpersonal skills and be able to function effectively with minimal supervision.

• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Ability to work early mornings (between 1:00am to 4:00am start times).

• Must be physically fit, able to lift up to 50 pounds and able to handle large workload, loading trailers with pallet jacks.
