Background Paint Supervisor - Undervale [Vancouver]

Titmouse is hiring a Background Paint Supervisor based in Vancouver for a 2D animated adult comedy series!

Estimated Length of Project: July 2024 to January 2025

Compensation: $1400-1550/week, commensurate with experience and skill level

Hours per week: 40

Reports to: Line Producer

Format: Hybrid, but candidates must be eligible to come into the Titmouse office in Vancouver.

• At least 3-5 years experience working in a background paint position the episodic animation industry. Animated adult comedy experience preferred.
• Previous leadership experience in roles such as Background Supervisor and/or Background Paint Supervisor
• Good communication skills with artists and production team
• Organized and able to juggle multiple tasks at once
• Positive leadership skills in giving clear, constructive feedback and the ability to raise team morale
• Candidates need to be located in Vancouver and able to come into the office.

• Create background paintings based off key backgrounds from LA team, ensuring style and quality of show established by Art Director is met
• Handout appropriate assignments to team and delegate additional tasks as needed
• Review and quality control background paint from your team in a timely manner
• Ensure all artwork is properly backed up and stored appropriately
• Act as a resource for the Background Paint team, answering artists’ questions about style and technical challenges that may arise
• Communicate progress of work to the Line Producer
