The Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing is a fully accredited, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals, couples, and families through professional counselling services and community programs. Position

The Back-on-Track Facilitator plays a key role in delivering individual and group interventions for individuals mandated to participate in the Back on Track Remedial Measures program. This position focuses on providing structured, evidence-based education while integrating best practices in behavioural change, substance use awareness, and legal accountability.

Reporting to the Manager of Administrative and Non-Clinical Services, this role collaborates closely with internal teams, community partners, and external referral sources to ensure effective service delivery. The Back on Track Facilitator conducts individual assessments, follow-up sessions, and co-facilitates one- or two-day group workshops, adhering to program standards outlined in the Remedial Measures program manuals provided by the funder. Additionally, this role serves as a resource for clients, providing information and guidance regarding the Back on Track program and its requirements.

This role is ideal for a knowledgeable and skilled professional committed to supporting individuals in understanding the impacts of substance use and impaired driving while fostering meaningful behavioral change in a structured, client-centered environment.

Essential Qualifications

• BA/BSW;


• Related experience in the provision of addiction treatment;


• Ability to pass security clearance, which includes general C-PIC and MTO driver record check;


• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a vehicle;


• Must be willing to work weekends;


• Working knowledge of current impaired driving laws;


• Willingness to attend quarterly meetings that last an hour;


• Special training or experience in methods of group education;


• Skills in teaching and program design;


• Ability to lead discussions, conceptualize and communicate effectively;


• Ability to provide culturally safe and competent services to indigenous people.
