Merit Services Ltd. is actively seeking a seasoned Banquet Chef to spearhead banquet kitchen operations at one of our esteemed client locations in Toronto. The Banquet Chef will assume the pivotal role of leading and inspiring a team of talented chefs to ensure the timely creation and delivery of exceptional dishes for large-scale events. This position presents an exhilarating opportunity to demonstrate your leadership prowess and culinary finesse.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct the preparation and delivery of exceptional culinary creations for large-scale events and gatherings.

Guide and inspire a team of chefs, ensuring efficient and timely kitchen operations.

Craft bespoke menus and recipes that cater to the unique tastes and preferences of our clientele.

Monitor inventory levels, proactively assisting in procurement of supplies when necessary.

Uphold the highest quality standards in food preparation and presentation.

Maintain a pristine and orderly kitchen environment, promoting maximum productivity and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of five years’ experience in a Banquet Chef role or similar capacity.

Degree or diploma in culinary arts or a related field.

Demonstrated leadership and managerial prowess.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
