BI Developer (Tableau)

Tableau Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise analytics dashboards to support data initiatives within an upgrade project. The role focuses on delivering high -quality, secure, and performant visual analytics that translate business requirements into actionable insights. The hourly rate is $70/hr to $80/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze analytics requirements in collaboration with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders.
  

• Design and develop intuitive, interactive Tableau dashboards for multiple business functions.
  

• Integrate Tableau with enterprise data sources, including databases, datasets, spreadsheets, and cloud platforms.
  

• Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and timely refreshes across all dashboards.
  

• Optimize Tableau workbooks and dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.
  

• Document dashboard designs, data sources, and development processes.
  

• Provide user training, support, and knowledge transfer to promote adoption and effective use.
  

• Implement security controls, user permissions, and compliance with data privacy and governance standards.
  

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance dashboards as requirements evolve.
  

• Collaborate with IT, data engineers, and project teams to align on data strategy and delivery.
  

• Continuously improve dashboard functionality by leveraging new Tableau features and industry best practices.
  

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  

• 5+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer.
  

• Proven experience supporting enterprise -scale data and analytics initiatives.
  

• Strong proficiency with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
  

• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  

• Experience with data integration tools and cloud data platforms preferred.
  

• Ability to translate business requirements into effective analytics and dashboards.
  

• Experience implementing data security, quality assurance, and compliance controls.
  

• Tableau certifications (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Certified Data Analyst) are an asset.
