Position: Bilingual Human Resources Generalist
Employment Type: Full-time, Temporary (11 weeks / 3 months) with potential for extension
Location: Remote work available; preference for candidates within the Greater Toronto Area
Full time (36.25 hours per week)
Salary Range: $40.02 - $51.66 per hour
Position Summary: The Bilingual Human Resources Manager will oversee all aspects of HR policies, programs, and practices. This role entails recruitment efforts, addressing inquiries from union representatives and employees, managing onboarding processes, and implementing employee training programs. The HR Manager will collaborate with senior management to ensure a high-functioning organizational culture that values employees' contributions and fosters success.
Responsibilities: Lead HR initiatives and provide expert advice to senior management on fostering a positive organizational culture Develop and document all human-resource policies, procedures, and practices at the Secretariat Full cycle recruitment and onboard new employees, coordinating with senior management Create and implement employee training programs Ensure compliance with Ontario human-resource regulations Manage employee benefits and safety and wellness initiatives Key Qualifications: Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken University or college degree in Human Resources or related field Minimum of five years' professional-level work experience in HR Strong knowledge of HR practices and related legislation, particularly in Ontario Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Strong project-management and organizational skills Preference for candidates with HR professional designation (CHRL or equivalent)
