Job Description - Bilingual IT Technician

Role And Responsibilities

Our Federal Government client requires an IT Technician to provide Computer Application Support services .

Responsibilities

Adding new functionality, documenting functionality and changes
Responding to 1st level support calls and providing accurate responses
Opening and closing of trouble tickets
Participating in the maintenance of a knowledge base of problems and solutions
Providing new staff with system orientation
Contributing to processing and procedural documentation
Tracking inventory of hardware and software
Work in a Microsoft Windows 10 environment using Microsoft Office Suite 2013 and 2019
Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of iPhone's and windows devices
Analyze technical issues and recommend effective solutions
Work effectively under pressure and manage multiple conflicting priorities
Communicate effectively orally and in writing in both official languages

Qualifications

Certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science or other relevant field from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution, or an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant work experience.
Knowledge of relevant government policies or procedures which will improve the quality of services to be provided
Communicate effectively orally and in writing in both official languages

Assets

Knowledge of the Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Experience with providing first line technical support in a helpdesk environment
Experience in the installation, configuration, upgrade, maintenance and troubleshooting of personal computers and peripheral devices.
