Job summary:

The Production Planner will be responsible for optimizing production processes, coordinating workflows and ensuring maximum efficiency in managing resources and deadlines. He or she will apply these planning, data analysis and communication skills to ensure smooth coordination between production, procurement and inventory management teams.

Job Responsabilities:

• Establish master production plan and daily assembly schedules, including monthly labor requirements;
• Set inventory levels to be maintained for finished goods;
• Update forecasts in the AS/400 computer system;
• Carry out rigorous follow-up of orders;
• Prepare the necessary activities to support the annual physical inventory taking and cyclical counting, and reconcile this with the existing system as required;
• Collaborate with customer service, sales, purchasing, logistics and production teams to reduce or eliminate stock shortages and improve on-time delivery;
• Support all planning-related tasks in the SIOP process (sales, inventory and operations planning);
• Support the ECR/ECO process with regard to planning;
• Support the various departments with regard to various requests related to inventory management and product availability dates;
• Support activities related to product warehousing management;
• Participate in special projects, make corrections and recommendations to improve inventory management and production planning practices and procedures;
• Contribute to departmental activities and perform other related tasks as required;
• Replace other planners and inventory analysts, as required.

Job Requirements:

• DEC in procurement and inventory management or any combination of relevant training and experience;
  
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in demand management or planning in a manufacturing environment;
  
• Proficiency in the Office Suite;
  
• Fluency in spoken and written French and English;
  
• Knowledge of AS/400 and ISO systems an asset;
  
• Organized, detail-oriented and proactive;
  
• Ability to conduct various analyses;
  
• Ability to work independently, following established guidelines and procedures;
  
• Ability to work at a fast pace and manage a heavy workload.
