About the Role

 

As a Billing Administrator (BA), you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional client service in the administration and processing of benefit and enrollment changes. You'll also be the expert regarding monthly billing statements and notifications for their associated Clients. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Surrey, BC office.

 

 

What to Expect in Your First 3 Months 

 

First 90 days:



  • Master the internal systems WEBS™ and Client Relationship Management (CRM)

  • Start handling administration of the group benefit plan for assigned clients

  • Handle Billing Errors

  • Keep up with current SLA (4 hours for email responses and 24 hours for change report items)

  • Learn new skills and improve existing skills as it relates to the Billing Administrator role

  • Have a basic understanding of each GroupHEALTH benefit and product offering

  • Understand Carrier Guidelines


 


What You'll Do



  • Analyze and manage enrollment changes in WEBS™ on a daily basis

  • Identify errors on enrollment changes and work with the client to process any correction(s)

  • Completing one-on-one training with plan administrators to help them understand how our processes and technology will help them administer their plan

  • Completing daily billing administration tasks as needed

  • Pulling billing lists, checking current bill holds and reviewing/correcting billing errors to ensure timely bill run

  • Identify and escalate claims requiring further investigation to the client services lead.

  • Identify and escalate concerns from clients, members, and partners to the client services lead, including but not limited to vendor issues, plan design, or administrative items that may cause dissatisfaction.

  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of business processes

  • Assists team members with their responsibilities as required

  • Other duties as the organization requires


 


What We're Looking For



  • 1-2 years’ experience in claims administration, office administration, insurance, health sciences or related field

  • Post-secondary education an asset in an administrative or related field

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Experience in the group benefits industry considered an asset

  • Bilingual (French and English) considered an asset

Compensation 

 

At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary for this position is $50,000-$55,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass the comprehensive total rewards package that we proudly offer.
