BIM Coordinator

Description of the company:

A well established architecture practice in Toronto with work spanning commercial, residential, institutional and data centre projects. Down to earth culture. Lots of initiatives/committees to get involved in outside of your day-to-day job. 

Why is this role open:

The studio is growing it's BIM team. They need BIM support within the projects. 

Responsibilities:

• Support project teams in Revit through all stages, including construction


• Run clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks


• Maintain model standards and templates across a range of project types


• Provide informal training and day to day help to staff in the office


• Troubleshoot model issues and coordinate with consultants

Must-haves:

• Professional experience using Revit in a practice setting, not just coursework


• Working knowledge of Navisworks and clash detection


• Experience working on large complex projects


• Experience supporting project teams at different project stages


• Approachable, patient and comfortable explaining things to others


• Interest in staying hands on in a coordination role

Nice-to-haves:

• Construction phase experience


• Exposure to a variety of building types


• Familiarity with Dynamo or other model automation tools

Work style: In office a minimum of 4 days per week, Toronto

Compensation: $85,000 to $95,000 base

Compensation Disclosure

Compensation for all roles Axis recruits for is multi-faceted and based on a range of factors including experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
