Penta Equipment is an agricultural manufacturer specializing in the production of TMR mixers, spreaders and dump boxes. With over 25 years in business, we’ve proven to be a leader in the development and production of innovative and robust agricultural farm equipment.

We have two production facilities in Ontario located in Glencoe and Thamesville. Our products are manufactured in our Glencoe facility and then transported to Thamesville for final assembly and shipping.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Blasting & Paint Prep Operator to join our production team in Thamesville, ON. This individual will perform a variety of general preparation, blasting, finishing, and re-finishing of large pieces of agricultural farm equipment and their associated components. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Clean and prep surfaces for paint application (i.e. plugging, masking, sanding, scraping, etc.)


• Carry out abrasive blasting and surface preparation to ensure steel components meet required cleanliness and surface profile standards prior to priming or painting


• Complete body work as required, using fillers, sanding, and finishing techniques to correct imperfections and meet surface quality standards


• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area, following all safety, environmental, and housekeeping procedures.


• Communicate and coordinate with team members and supervision to balance workloads, maintain workflow between blasting, body, and paint areas, and meet production schedules.

The Ideal Candidate

• Is comfortable working with hand tools, air tools, and blasting equipment


• Has experience performing basic body work, including grinding, sanding, filling, and surface repair


• Has the ability to identify surface defects and prepare metal to required quality standards prior to paint


• Is physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working in a shop environment


• Has strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship


• Is reliable, punctual, and safety-focused


• Training opportunities are available to expand into priming and paint application as part of the coating process.
