Bookkeeper

Our client, located in Elora, ON and operating within the Hospitality and Service Industry is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their Accounting team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operations through accurate and timely daily accounting, managing payroll and monthly reconciliation reports, and year-end support. This role will report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with the AR and AP team. This role is full-time and onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and month-end close.
• Prepare and file HST returns, ensuring timely and accurate remittances.
• Process (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) payroll and issue ROE to employees.
• Complete monthly and year-end intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare HST, WSIB, EHT returns.
• Conduct daily and month end reconciliations of bank and visa statements for all affiliated companies by collecting and organizing the invoices/receipts.
• Support regular financial reporting requirements in collaboration with the Accounting Manager.
• Assist in managing cost and inventory control measures.

• College Diploma or University Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• 3–5 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience, payroll processing and full accounting cycle.
• Proficiency with Quick books Online, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Shared Google Sheets and navigating POS reports.
• Strong attention to detail, analysis, and organization, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and in a professional manner, and has a strong sense of accountability.
• Experience in hospitality or retail environment is considered helpful but not required.
• Some flexibility outside of the standard 8am-5pm office hours may be needed for occasional meetings.

Hiring Range : $60,000-$65,000 per year
