What You’ll Be Responsible For
Construction Accounting & Job Costing
Accurately code invoices, expenses, and transactions to the correct jobs and cost categories
Maintain and reconcile job costing data to ensure real-time project visibility
Work directly with project managers to monitor budgets and profitability
Review purchase orders and documentation to ensure alignment with project scopes
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process vendor and subcontractor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
Manage client invoicing, collections, and payment tracking
Resolve billing discrepancies efficiently and professionally
Financial Recordkeeping & Compliance
Maintain accurate day-to-day financial records and general ledger integrity
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare documentation for HST/GST, payroll remittances, WSIB, and other statutory filings
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Assist external accountants during audits and reporting
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of bookkeeping experience, with strong construction industry background
Experience in mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC environments highly preferred
Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Solid knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and remittances
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational discipline
