Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Mississauga. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident managing day-to-day accounting activities, supporting financial reporting, and working closely with management in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records and support the overall integrity of financial data.


• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and other accounting transactions.


• Complete bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.


• Process and maintain records related to invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions using accounting software.


• Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met.


• Prepare financial reports and statements to support management with business decisions.


• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.


• Ensure financial processes follow established accounting principles, internal controls, and applicable regulations.


• Work closely with management and internal teams to provide accurate financial information and insights.


• Liaise with external partners, including auditors and other stakeholders, and assist with audit and compliance requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Several years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.


• Strong hands-on experience with general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and day-to-day bookkeeping.


• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and supporting financial reporting.


• Proficiency with accounting software and the ability to efficiently manage financial transactions and reports.


• A solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and relevant regulatory requirements.


• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar fast-paced industry is considered an asset.


• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• A professional designation or certification, such as CPA or Certified Bookkeeper (CB), is an asset.


• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.


• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, management, and external partners.
