What You’ll do:
Own a recurring portfolio of 20–30 small business clients, maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
Perform monthly bookkeeping tasks: download and categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial statements.
Leverage cloud-based accounting software and automation tools to ensure timely completion within client fee expectations.
File sales tax and payroll returns before deadlines; process payroll as assigned.
Build and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive communication, timely follow-up, and consistent delivery on commitments.
Research complex bookkeeping and tax issues; communicate clear, professional solutions to clients.
Identify and escalate opportunities for client advisory services and process improvements.
Prepare T1 Personal Income Tax and Benefit Returns annually with accuracy and adherence to best practices.
Complete comprehensive Personal Income Tax training and pursue Certified Tax Specialist certification.
Perform all duties as assigned
What You Need:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a multi-client or small business setting, ideally in public practice.
Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios and meet recurring deadlines.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online; experience with Xero or Sage is an asset.
Familiarity with receipt capture tools and workflow automation.
Strong skills in reconciliations, transaction categorization, and financial statement preparation.
Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax/GST compliance.
Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation (completed or in progress) is an asset.
Experience building and maintaining client relationships.
Exposure to T1 personal income tax preparation.
QuickBooks ProAdvisor or Xero Advisor certification highly valued.
