Bookkeeper

Karma Property Management is searching for our next team member in the role of Property Management Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will be organized, demonstrate excellent customer service skills and work ethics, have excellent computer skills, knowledge of property management accounting and Spectra software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Full cycle accounting
• Account payable, accounts receivable, payroll (QuickBooks)
• Entering transactions into the accounting system and providing data entry as required
• Completion of bank reconciliations, month-end & year-end financial reporting for condo corporations and investors.
• Review, audit and analyze monthly reports for accuracy, correct categorization and significant variances.
• Perform various other accounting duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in bookkeeping
• Strong accounting background with proven capability in reconciliation, investigative and problem-solving work
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems including Spectra and QuickBooks
• Ability to effectively manage time while working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make discriminant decisions by using knowledge, policy and above average problem-solving skills
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel
• Familiar with property management a plus
