Job Description - Bookkeeper/Medical Billing Coordinator

At Enhanced Care, we know the importance of primary care and family practice in everyone's health and wellness. Our conveniently located clinics are open for extended hours to look after the needs of our patients and our communities. With a team of skilled individuals working alongside over 70 family physicians, specialists, and allied health providers, our goal is to get our patients healthy, quickly and safely.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Bookkeeper/Medical Billing Coordinator to join our team.

Summary: The Bookkeeper/Medical Billing Coordinator will be responsible for daily data entry and other clerical tasks. This is a permanent part-time position (2-3 days a week).

Location:

  • Virtualin Ontario

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and entering billing data information into the appropriate EMR database
  • Ensuring appropriate turnaround time on all billing entry tasks
  • Submitting all necessary inquiries/ supporting documentation required
  • Submitting monthly billings reports
  • Review insurance billing prior to submission to ensure accuracy
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proficient in computer and electronic communications - required
  • Previous experience with EMR systems -required
  • Previous experiencein physician billing (OHIP billing) - required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - required
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and willingness to learn
  • Data entry or accounting experience or education - an asset
