We're looking for a results-driven, people-focused Branch Manager to take ownership of our Langley Branch. The Branch Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of the Branch operations, including achieving all strategic and operational goals and objectives, enhancing revenue and profitability, continually improving productivity and efficiency, maximizing resources, managing inventory, developing the Branch staff, growing & strengthening employee morale, and planning for future growth within the Langley market area.â¯

What You’ll Be Doing:
Running the Show
Stay on top of local market trends and competitor activity to spot opportunities for growth, process improvements, and new business.
Keep a close eye on Branch KPIs and take proactive steps to stay on track or better yet, ahead of the game. Hold your direct reports accountable to their goals and support them in getting there.
Oversee day-to-day operations across sales, service, and warehouse. Meet regularly with team leads to align priorities, adjust plans, and keep communication flowing
Driving Business Forward
Builds an expert level of knowledge and understanding of Formations’ Distribution and Manufactured product lines.â¯
Partner with Sales to grow customer accounts and uncover new opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and decision-makers.
Be visible in the community - visit customers, attend events, and industry activities to strengthen presence and reputation. Share customer insights and market feedback to help shape business direction.
Leading People
Hire, train, coach, and develop your team and keep morale high. Set clear performance expectations and coach your direct reports to success
Conduct regular one-on-ones and team check-ins to align goals, remove roadblocks, and provide support
Review performance, recognize wins, and jump in when things need a tune-up
Lead by example, reinforcing a culture of accountability, innovation, teamwork, and respectâ¯
In an Average Week, You Might...
Kick off Monday by reviewing last week’s KPIs - spotting what worked, what didn’t, and where to focus. Check in with your Territory Sales Managers and Customer Service Supervisor to align on opportunities, challenges, and customer follow-ups
Walk the warehouse floor with the Warehouse Supervisor to connect with the team, check on shipments, problem-solve a delivery or inventory issue and review safety or equipment needs
Visit a key customer to talk business, get feedback, and explore ways to deepen the partnership
Join a call with the Director of Branch Operations to share updates and collaborate on larger regional initiatives
Support a team member’s growth with coaching, training, or just a quick pep talk between tasks. Celebrate a team win, recognize a job well done, and keep morale high.
Wrap up Friday planning for the week ahead - staying two steps ahead and setting your team up for success
What You Bring:
5-8 years of experience leading branch or operations teams in a distribution setting
Confidence managing performance, setting direction, and making decisions
Solid understanding of sales, inventory, and customer service operations
Financial know-how - budgets, forecasts, and cost controls are in your toolkit
Excellent communication skills and a passion for team and customer success
Excellent communication, leadership, and change management capabilities
A strategic mindset balanced with a hands-on, action-oriented approach
Bonus Points
Experience in the ins and outs of the building materials and/or Millwork industry
Insight into Western Canadian building materials market trends and customer needsâ¯
