Building Manager (NonLive-In)

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Building Manager for a 75-unit residential rental property located in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver. This is a non-live-in position requiring strong on-site presence, accountability, and the ability to respond effectively to daily operational and emergency needs. To ensure effective site coverage and timely response, this role is best suited for a candidate based in North Vancouver or within close proximity to the Lynn Valley area.

Position Overview: The Building Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the property, ensuring the building is well-maintained, financially controlled, and operating efficiently. This includes tenant relations, rent collection, leasing, basic maintenance, contractor coordination, record keeping, and overall building oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of a 75-unit residential building
Collect rent and maintain accurate tenant account records
Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as required
Coordinate contractors, trades, and service requests
Conduct regular building inspections
Maintain records, reporting, and documentation using computer systems
Support cost control and operational efficiency
Respond to tenant inquiries, service requests, and emergencies
Ensure building cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation standards
Leasing.

Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience in property management or building operations (preferred)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Computer proficiency (email, reporting systems, basic software)
Ability to perform basic maintenance and minor repairs
Rent collection and tenant account management
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
Must be based in North Vancouver / Lynn Valley area or nearby
Must have legal status to work in Canada

Compensation & Benefits
$58,000 annual salary
