Building Operator - Condominium

Cathedral Hill Condominium (OCLCC 973) is seeking a hands-on, service-oriented Building Operator to oversee daily operations of our 22-storey condominium community in downtown Ottawa. This role replaces a traditional superintendent/concierge model and focuses on operational excellence, vendor coordination, and resident service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day building operations and maintenance


• Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers


• Prepare and manage RFPs for building services


• Monitor building systems (mechanical, HVAC, garage, life safety)


• Approve and manage bookings of amenities


• Respond to resident inquiries and service requests


• Conduct regular building inspections


• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of common areas
  

Qualifications:

• Experience in building operations, facilities management, or property maintenance


• Strong organizational and vendor management skills


• Working knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, and building systems


• Professional communication skills


• Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies when required

This position works in coordination with a licensed Property Management firm that handles all financial, regulatory, and compliance matters.
