What you’ll do

As part of our Digital Transformation Program, we have identified the need to hire a talented Business Analyst who will help us advance our digital transformation efforts. In this newly created role, you will report to the Director, Information Technology and will support and lead digital and process improvement projects within the digital transformation program.

With the focus of this role being on digital and process improvement projects, experience and expertise in digital transformation concepts, process streamlining and automation technologies is required. In this role, you will also act as the project manager for some assigned projects – experience in project management, change management and the ability to communicate effectively with staff across all levels will be important.

More specifically, as the Business Analyst you will:

  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive digital transformation strategy aligned with BCCHF's strategic objectives.
  • Assess, select and manage the implementation of cutting-edge technology that enhances operational efficiency and personalize donor experiences.
  • Leads the collection of requirements for digital and process improvement projects using various methods (e.g., workshops, interviews, surveys, etc).
  • Manage digital and process improvement projects plans, requirements, project teams, and communications to drive successful outcomes and deliverables.
  • Act as liaison between BCCHF and third-party vendors for RFPs, development requests and the implementation of solutions.
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement; work with process owners to develop optimization strategies.
  • Develop process maps, flowcharts, and other visual representation to document current and future state processes.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement to drive the organization's digital maturity.
  • Help foster a culture of adaptability and digital literacy throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to the development of a robust project management framework for digital initiatives, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive change management framework to facilitate a smooth transition to new digital processes and new technologies.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Additional education/experience that would be considered assets include:
    • Certificates in Business Analysis, Change Management and Project Management such as CBAP, CCBA, Prosci or PMP
    • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodology
    • Work experience in the nonprofit sector
    • Prior experience working on digital transformation programs
  • Demonstrated experience delivering digital and process improvement projects from conception to implementation, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements via process changes or automation; demonstrating experience in process mapping.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing change management strategies to facilitate seamless organizational transitions.
  • Strong history of effectively communicating with and influencing senior leaders, department heads, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact with a diverse group of employees in a respectful manner, determine problems and apply appropriate solutions.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies to oversee the successful implementation of digital initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey digital strategies, progress, and impacts to various stakeholders.
  • Skill in fostering collaboration and building strong relationships across departments and hierarchical levels.
  • Critical thinking skills to address challenges that may arise during the transformation process.
  • Diplomacy and negotiation skills to navigate resistance to change.

The hiring range for this position is between $85,000 and $97,200; you will be eligible for annual salary increases based on performance and will have the potential to earn up to the current maximum for the role of $102,000. At BCCHF, we are committed to ensuring that compensation is fair and equitable. Your placement in the hiring range will be dependent on factors such as experience, relevant skills and qualifications, and internal equity.
