Reporting to the Director, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join Menard Canada, in their Vancouver, BC office. Menard has experienced tremendous success across Canada and the US and are continuing to grow their West Coast presence. Responsibilities:
Your overall goal is to be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities within the local construction industry. Your experience of both delivery and opening doors during your career will be invaluable in this role, as well as will be your organizational and communication skills. We’re not looking for someone to sit and wait for the phone to ring; we’re looking for a true go-getter that knocks on doors, visits sites and trade shows, and more importantly, someone who has a track record of securing construction projects.

We all know people skills are important in this role, however your ability to build and implement strategies, wrap your head around the technical aspects of the projects and negotiate terms are extremely important.

The successful candidate has:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business development and/or project management / coordination.
  • Experience with geotechnical / foundation / construction projects
  • Degree in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering as asset
  • Network of contacts in the Western Canadian construction arena
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Compensation and benefits:
  • Competitive salary ($110,000) with bonus plan (note: a higher base salary may be offered for candidates with more experience and involvement in the bid process)
