Job Description


Proclinical is seeking a remote Business Development Manager (Medical Device) for a leading pharmaceutical company.


The Business Development Manager has a pivotal role in the organization as a customer facing team member. The role contributes to the success and financial sustainability of the Business via a focus on existing account management and lead generation in the Americas. The role is a permanent position based in the US servicing established markets in The United States, Canada, and South America.


Must be eligible to work in the US.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Servicing existing and new clients with stock as required.

  • Ensuring all Equipment placed in the market is functioning and any technical issues are resolved in a timely manner

  • Develop long-term relationships with the existing customer base

  • Establish and maintain a Customer Relationship Management database

  • Manage Distribution channel relationships

  • Communicating and collaborating with the 3PL to ensure all client stock requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Ensuring all orders are being received and filled in a timely manner via the online ordering portal

  • Ensure all interfaces are working correctly

  • Ensuring visibility of stock on hand and the positioning of stock in the supply chain at all times

  • Raising invoices within system as required

  • Research and validate the overall demand and Helicobacter Pylori infection rates in the Americas

  • Communicate and collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies to increase company’s market share in the HP infection space

  • Analyse the current competitors in the HP infection diagnosis and treatment market

  • Interact with pharmacists and gastroenterologists to promote company’s product offerings

  • Analyse historical sales data to extract opportunities for client contact and generation of new business

  • Act as company’s representative in the Americas including liaising with regulatory, quality, and financial consultants to assist in establishing the business in the United States

  • Document findings from interactions with consultants and communicate these to the General Manager


Skills and Requirements:



  • Driver’s License

  • Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Sales experience

  • There will be some US based travel required, an annual trip to Australia and some international travel to South America and Canada

  • US citizenship and ability to gain international VISAs

  • Ability to work from home until a decision to establish an office has been reached

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Applications and CRM databases
