Job Description - Business Development Representative

IT Blueprint Solutions is a fast-growing Vancouver based company that provides expertise in IT solutions comprised of cloud and on-premise services, best in class hardware, software, security, networking, and data protection. We are currently looking for a Business Development Representative drive growth by prospecting for and closing new business with new customers. The objective is to rapidly expand the account base beyond the current footprint. Working closely with Sales Management and designated Account Managers, the BDR will engage in the smooth hand-off of fully qualified new accounts, where new business has been transacted, so Account Managers can continue to grow the accounts.



Responsibilities




  • Responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities.

  • Establish contact with prospects/leads generated by marketing and other lead gen channels.

  • Progress all qualified opportunities to the closure, with the assistance of management and internal/external technical resources, if necessary




  • Work with prospects to develop a deep understanding of their needs and translate those needs into product requirements that satisfy their demands.


  • Conduct onsite or online presentations that showcase the company’s products and services to prospects.


  • Work with the technical and sales teams and management to develop proposals, quotes, and respond to RFP/RFI documents.


  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the company’s cloud, hardware, software and services. 


  • Keen focus on pursuing Managed Services recurring revenue opportunities.


  • Perform sales administrative activities in Salesforce CRM or any other designated company applications.


  • Adhere to all company policy and procedures.

  • Communicate and report sales forecasts to the Sales Manager.



Knowledge / Skills / Abilities





  • Experience selling relevant technology services and products.


  • Possess a track record of managing the customer commitment, negotiation, and closing of the sales process.


  • Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships.


  • Enjoy working with customers and external audiences.


  • High energy and drive with good negotiation skills.


  • Proficient with general office applications.


  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.


  • Skill in preparing written communications and materials.


  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.


  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.


  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry.


  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.



Education & Experience




  • BA/BS, preferably in marketing or a related field.

  • MBA/MS preferred but not required.

  • 2+ years of sales experience in a technology related field.
