Job Description - Business Development Representative (Food Distribution)

We are a renowned food distribution company based in Dorval, delivering high-quality food products and exceptional service for over three decades. Our diverse product range includes non-perishable, refrigerated, frozen, meat, and seafood, along with packaging and sanitary products. Founded in 1987, we have evolved from a niche market distributor to a comprehensive food supply leader.


We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in cold outreach and thrive in an on-the-road sales environment, targeting restaurants and food service establishments. This position offers a competitive base salary with significant commission potential, reflecting the high-end experience required.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct cold outreach to prospective restaurant clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Present and promote our diverse range of food products.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Regularly visit clients on-site to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports to management.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in the food distribution sector.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and food product needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-the-road sales environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Bilingual (English and French) preferred.

Compensation:


  • Competitive base salary ($65,000 - $80,000) plus commission.
