Business Systems Analyst - Financial Services

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our financial services practice. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing large-scale enterprise solutions within either insurance, banking, or investment industry. Your expertise in business analysis, banking experience, and knowledge of current and target states will be crucial in driving the success of our projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform comprehensive analysis of current state business processes, systems, and data within the financial services domain (insurance, banking, or investment industry).

2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, objectives, and constraints.

3. Conduct gap analysis between the current state and target state to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for implementing enterprise solutions.

4. Design and document business processes, data models, and system architectures to support the target state.

5. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for system development, customization, or integration.

6. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of enterprise solutions.

7. Participate in the selection and evaluation of technology vendors, tools, and platforms to support business needs.

8. Provide expertise in the domain-specific regulations, compliance, and industry standards related to financial services.

9. Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, estimates, and timelines for system implementation projects.

10. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), system integration testing (SIT), and assist in resolving issues or defects during the testing phase.

11. Provide post-implementation support, including user training, documentation, and troubleshooting assistance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

2. Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Systems Analyst in the financial services industry, specifically within insurance, banking, or investment domains.

3. Strong knowledge of current state and emerging trends in the financial services industry.

4. Experience with large-scale enterprise solutions implementation, including system integration, data migration, and process automation.

5. Proficient in business analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering, gap analysis, process modeling, and data mapping.

6. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

8. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

10. Knowledge of financial systems and technologies, such as core banking systems, wealth management platforms, insurance policy administration systems, or trading platforms, is highly desirable.
