Buyer - Internal Opportunity

Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility.  We are experiencing significant expansion, and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Buyer.  The successful candidate will be well-versed in production, inventory, and purchasing procedures and ways to optimize them. This is a full-time, permanent position. This is an internal opportunity open only to current Activate employees.

The Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review ERP/MRP purchase suggestions, generate, and submit purchase orders


• Facilitate purchasing requests across various departments


• Facilitate ad hoc requests, assisting with pricing and lead time discussions


• Communicate shipping updates from suppliers to various stakeholders


• Communicate pricing updates from suppliers to various stakeholders


• Update and maintain ERP purchasing modules with customer and pricing information


• Participate in quality control and vendor assessments


• Assist with maintaining purchasing lists


• Produce relevant reports as required
  

The Qualifications:

• 1-2 years in a related field


• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems


• Excellent communication abilities with an ability to build positive working relationships


• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues previously undetected
