Durabuilt Windows & Doors Inc. is seeking to hire buyer – purchaser to join the team at 10920 178 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5S 1R7. The candidate must be willing to join a team environment to strengthen and grow the current crew with a positive attitude and character.

We offer:

• Wage: $36.54 per hour
• Hours per week: 30 hours per week
• Vacancy: 1

Terms of employment:

• Full time permanent position
• Job start date: as soon as possible
• Employment conditions: Day, Morning

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assess business needs to determine appropriate specifications for purchases
• Create comprehensive specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies
• Review and analyze supplier quotations to select the most suitable options
• Evaluate and negotiate offers and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Procure general and specialized equipment, materials and business services as per business needs
• Ensure compliance with company policies and budget requirements
• Establish and maintain effective communication with suppliers for ongoing procurement needs
• Monitor order and delivery schedules; proactively resolve delays, shortages, or quality issues with suppliers
• Track and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of orders
• Communicate with clients and suppliers to identify and resolve issues related to procurement and delivery
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and develop improvement plans
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
• Prepare reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance for management review

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be able to communicate in English
• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
• Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently; Work under pressure; Tight deadlines; Attention to detail; Large caseload
