Job Description - Café Manager

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Café Manager to oversee daily operations, lead staff, and ensure excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the cafés performance, maintaining quality standards, and creating a welcoming environment for both staff and customers. This role requires leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the café, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow management.

  • Train, mentor, and motivate café staff to deliver high-quality service.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene standards.

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain stock levels.

  • Monitor financial performance, including sales, costs, and profit margins.

  • Implement strategies to drive customer satisfaction, sales growth, and repeat business.

  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.

  • Maintain café cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation standards.

  • Develop promotional activities and collaborate with marketing teams to increase foot traffic.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Café Manager, Restaurant Manager, or in a similar hospitality role.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards.

  • Ability to manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and control costs.

  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (degree/diploma in Hospitality Management is preferred).

  • Minimum 35 years of experience in food & beverage management or hospitality.
